Toll collection through FASTag in Dec increases by over Rs 200 crore to Rs 2,304 crore


 Cost assortment in December 2020 through FASTags arrived at Rs 2,303.79 crore in December 2020, recording an expansion of Rs 201 crore over the first month, the NHAI said on Tuesday. 


Essentially, cost exchanges through FASTags recorded critical development of 1.35 crore in December 2020. 


The expanded income comes after the public authority reported compulsory rollout of FASTag from January 1, 2021, however it has permitted half breed paths on National Highways till February 15 to dodge burden to individuals. 


"Cost assortment through FASTag in December expanded fundamentally by over Rs 201 crore to Rs 2,303.79 crore, as against Rs. 2,102 crores in November 2020," the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) said in an assertion. 


The month to month exchanges through FASTag expanded fundamentally by 1.35 crore in December. 


"FASTag recorded 13.84 crore exchanges in December, which is 10.83 percent more when contrasted with 12.48 crore exchanges in November 2020. Also, With more than 2.30 crore FASTag clients, it offers more than 75 percent of the all out cost assortment," the assertion said. 


It said the devoted endeavors of NHAI, responsive methodology of roadways clients and different partners has prompted staggering expansion in appropriation of computerized method of exchange at cost courts. 


To accomplish 100% e-ringing, all cost installments will be made through FASTag from February 15, 2021.
