Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's Daughter Anjali Selected for Civil Services by UPSC

 Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's girl Anjali has been chosen for common administrations by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) which has delivered a rundown of 89 applicants on its hold list. 

Anjali, who considered political theory (praises) from Ramjas College here, qualified the common administrations assessment 2019 in her first endeavor. 

"I am glad to get chosen in this test. I needed to join the common administrations to accomplish something for the general public as I generally observed my dad's' responsibility towards the individuals of the nation," she told PTI on Tuesday. 

Anjali said her senior sister Akansha, a contracted bookkeeper, encouraged her in clearing the assessment. 

"The credit for my prosperity particularly goes to my senior sister. She encouraged me a great deal in planning for the primary assessment," she said. 

The common administrations assessment is directed yearly by the commission in three phases — fundamental, principle and meeting — to choose officials for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others. 

The aftereffect of the 2019 common administrations assessment was proclaimed on August 4, 2020, suggesting 829 up-and-comers arranged by merit for arrangement to IAS, IFS, IPS and other Group ''A'' and Group ''B'' focal administrations against 927 opening. 

The commission had on Monday suggested 89 up-and-comers, includng Anjali, for various common administrations from its save list drawn based on the 2019 common administrations assessment.
