Seoul, Dec 15 The South Korean military on Tuesday said that Pyongyang has begun the ordinary winter-time drills and "there are no signs showing any approaching provocative acts".

"We accept that North Korea started their customary wintertime drills," Yonhap News Agency cited Col. Kim Jun-rak, representative of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS), as saying at an instructions here.

North Korea ordinarily starts their colder time of year military exercise in December, which proceeds through late-winter.

The representative said that in the midst of the seething Covid-19 pandemic, the current year's drills could be held in a more modest scope.

With no new significant military moves this year, North Korea in October divulged another intercontinental ballistic rocket (ICBM) and a submarine-dispatched ballistic rocket (SLBM), alongside assorted military resources during a military procession.
